We went to Zions National Park and saw a lot of wildlife. It was hard to decided which photo to use, but I liked the DOF and the environment of this one.
This is the season when you are going to see a lot of flowers in my 365. After all, it’s what I traditionally have enjoyed photographing the most. It’s nice to see that the photos this year are better than the previous years snap-shots. I’ve learned a lot about DOF and composition that tends to make the photos more interesting.
I’m not really sure what kind of a flower this is…if you have any idea…please enlighten me. It’s one that comes up each year in my yard.
Today we have a bonus photo too. It’s one of the orange tulips from yesterday. the colors turned out very interesting, I thought.

A couple of years back I gave my wife some orange tulips for mothers day (at least I think it was mothers day). They were in a large glass vase suspended just above the water line and were growing with no soil. They were beautiful while they lasted, and after they faded and died I wondered if they would actually grown if I planted the bulbs…
Guess what? They did…now each year I have those same tulips to enjoy growing in my yard.
This might be the first year that I am able to grow my tomatoes all from seeds. I have five plants that are doing great, two cherry and three ‘regular’ size. I still have a few weeks before I can plant them outside. So until them I’m really babying them by carrying them outside during the day and bringing them in at night. There is something about growing things that is fascinating and fun.
